The final filter assembly includes:
1ea - Galvanized filter head with no bypass, and 3/4 inch FNPT ports.
1ea - Hy-Pro HP76L8-1MB spin-on 1-micron (Absolute) filter with buna seals. The filter element is about 3 inches in diameter and about 8-1/2 inces long (Double Length). The gasket is about 2-7/8 inch OD and 2-5/8 inch ID.

1ea - one pressure gauge, various manufacturers, minimum of 0-100psi. I also have 0-60 psi guages marked in green up to 25 psi, then marked in yellow, then marked in red up to 60 psi. You can substitute this guage at no additional cost. Just put a note in the comments when you order.

I HIGHLY encourage you to at a minimum have a 1-micron (Nominal) sock filter before this filter. The sock filter is cleanable and will greatly extend the life of this final filter. The problem with the sock filter is that at best a nominal filter catches only about 50% of the particles at the rated size. If you recirculate through the 1-micron sock filter it will build up a cake layer that will tighten it up a bit and allow it to catch more. This prefilters is the key to extending the life of your final filter.

The manufacturer of Magnesol R60 recommends final filtering to 1-micron (Absolute). This assembly meets that recommendation.

I filter through 1-micron (Nominal) sock first to remove the bulk of the larger particles. I sell them here also.

I used to send everyone over to McMaster.com to buy the sock/bag filters. I finally found someone to make them for me so that I can sell them at a better price than what McMaster-Carr offers.

These filters are rated for 100psi.

These spigots can be fitted through the wall of a plastic bucket or barrel. It can also be screwed into the 3/4 FNPT hole in a steel barrel. The spigot is barbed and has a 1/2 inch OD.
It comes with two nitrile rubber washers and a plastic backnut.

Two Viton replacement o-rings for the spigots I sell. The buna ones I had installed on one of my buckets swelled from 1" ID to 1-1/8" ID. It also softened them to the point were they slipped over the nuts that were there to hold them in place. This started within months of putting them in service.

These o-rings are round cross section viton replacements for the square cross section buna one that come with the spigot.

This plastic grate fits into the bottom of a standard 5 or 6 gallon bucket. It has a 10-1/8 inch diameter, is 2-1/2 inches high, and is solvent resistant.
It keeps filter bags from falling down into the drain valve (spigot) opening.

1 micron (Nominal) trade size 9 (5.5 inch opening at the top, 31 inches long) filter socks. Great for getting the bulk of the Magnesol R60 out before you do the final filter with a 1-micron (Absolute) filter element. These do not have a ring at the top. They have a draw string and can be clamped on the end of a pipe. I took a pipe and threaded a coupler onto the end. This allows me to put the filter onto the end of the pipe and use a hose clamp to hold it in place. The couple helps keep the filter from sliding off of the end of the pipe.

You can cut a 4.5 inch hole in the top of a 5 gallon bucket, put a spigot in the bottom edge of the bucket, and use it to gravity filter biodiesel or oil.
